The Ballpark

Petco Park, located in downtown San Diego, is a modern baseball stadium known for its breathtaking views and open-air design. Opened in 2004, it's home to the San Diego Padres. The park uniquely integrates San Diego's maritime culture, featuring stunning views of the city and San Diego Bay.

With a seating capacity of about 40,000, it offers an intimate fan experience, incorporating the historic Western Metal Supply Co. building into its design as the left-field foul pole. Not exactly close to Petco, but one of our favorite Seafood restaurants in SD. The atmosphere is very low key, they've got a number of good beers, and the food is delicious. I usually get the Halibut sandwich and Mel usually get's the crab cakes. There is some indoor seating, but grab your food and take it to the patio with beautiful views of the harbor. Another tip if you're driving is to park over in the Pizza Nova/Jimmy's Famous parking lot in the 72 hour/24 hour spots and walk over.

Another one not by Petco, but one of my all-time favorite places to grab a beer and a pizza. They make Napoletana-style pizza, have one of the best tap lists in San Diego, and have the best Belgian Frites.
