The Stadium

Lumen Field, located in the heart of Seattle, Washington, is the home stadium for Seattle Sounders FC, a powerhouse in Major League Soccer (MLS). The stadium, which opened in 2002 and was previously known as CenturyLink Field, has a seating capacity of up to 68,740 for soccer matches, making it one of the largest venues in the MLS. The stadium is renowned for its electric atmosphere, partly due to its design that amplifies crowd noise, creating an intimidating environment for visiting teams.

Situated in the vibrant SODO district, Lumen Field is adjacent to the historic Pioneer Square and the bustling downtown area, offering easy access to a variety of restaurants, bars, and cultural attractions. The location is also well-connected by public transportation, including bus and light rail services. This area, with its blend of historic charm and modern conveniences, enhances the game-day experience, making Lumen Field a focal point for sports and entertainment in Seattle.
