PayPal Park in San Jose serves as home to Bay FC, the NWSL expansion club that launched in 2024 and immediately drew strong crowds to a soccer-specific venue that already had good bones from years of hosting the San Jose Earthquakes. The stadium holds around 18,000 and sits in the Earthquakes Soccer Park complex near Mineta San Jose International Airport, making it one of the more accessible venues in the league for fans flying in.
The surrounding area is largely industrial, so the focus is squarely on the matchday experience inside the stadium rather than a walkable neighborhood scene. VTA light rail provides public transit access, and the club's early enthusiasm from the Bay Area soccer community has translated into a passionate atmosphere on matchdays. Arrive a bit early to explore the broader stadium complex.
One 1- Liter/32 oz. or smaller factory-sealed plastic water bottle per person.
Only SMALL individual snacks in clear plastic bags are allowed in the stadium, in addition to medically needed food items.
Clear backpacks under 14″ x 14″ x 6″ and all drawstring bags under 14″ x 14″ x 6″ are allowed into the stadium
Main Concourse - Silicon Valley-inflected Mexican fare with burritos, tacos, and margaritas that go well beyond standard stadium fare. The al pastor burrito is consistently good.
West Side - The main gathering bar at PayPal Park with rotating Bay Area craft beers on draft and a full view of the supporter sections. Arrive early for a seat at the rail.
East Concourse - Fresh made-to-order bowls with rice, beans, and your choice of protein. A solid option if you want something more substantial than a hot dog.
Multiple locations - PayPal Park rotates in beers from Bay Area breweries including Sierra Nevada, Lagunitas, and local San Jose craft options. Worth checking what's on tap for each match.
In the Stands offers apparel for fans who enjoy visiting ballparks and stadiums. While we all have our favorite teams, there are times when they aren't the ones playing. Our goal is to create a sense of community and camaraderie whenever you see someone wearing In the Stands apparel.
